Ben Venick has
owned this place
for nineteen years.
The restaurant is called Rizz's. Turns out the name fits the owner. Before Oxford made "Rizz" its word of the year in 2023, Ben was already the guy who remembered your order and your kid's name. When Snowmageddon hit and the whole town was fighting over the last gallon of milk, Ben's solution made the local news: buy a beer, the milk and bread are on him. Priorities. Some people have Rizz. Ben built a restaurant around it.
Ben grew up in Uniontown, played sports at Laurel Highlands, and raised his family in Uniontown. When the chance came to take over the spot on West Main, he didn't think twice. Rizz's opened in 2007 and hasn't slowed down since.
The food is honest: good steaks, real burgers, wings that put us on the map, and pasta that tastes like somebody's grandmother is in the kitchen. The bar is full. The TVs are always on. The booths have seen a thousand birthdays, anniversaries, and "we should do this more often"s.
But the thing Ben's most proud of isn't on the menu. It's the kids in Little League jerseys with the Rizz's patch. It's the Give-Back Nights when ten percent of every sale goes to a local school, team, or family that needs it. It's the family who came in numb after a funeral and left, somehow, lighter.
